Piano-driven melodic pop, “salon-luxury pop”, nu-disco.. kärt barn har många namn, but I would explain this Swedish duo Montauk as being a house music act with non-software sounding instruments. It’s gorgeous nightscape instrumentals drip smooth electronic chocolate all over the basslines, snares and claps. They sound like a slowed down Streets of Rage soundtrack. It’s smooth, chill, lounge-y and fresh.. I said that word again, didn’t I? Fresh.
