Can't wait for the new album! Absolutely amazing band, and one of the most epic i've ever heard!

By gods, the 2-set show at Lutakko was epic. Seen them 3 or 4 times before but this one took the prize for sure. Also heard Tulimyrsky for the first time live and got absolute goosebumps near the end

epic doesn't do enough justice, it was so much more than an ordinary moonsorrow gig times 2. the 1st set was filled with shorter songs from their discography and almost felt like a setlist of an "ordinary" gig by a band that doesnt do monolithic +15 minute songs on the regular. and even then they managed to pack it full of bangers and surprises as the last time some of those songs were actively played was like 10 years ago. the 2nd set was the monolith i had secretly been hoping for. as if opening it up by playing "tulimyrsky" wasnt enough they decided to continue crushing through the whole 4 song setlist and your neck just couldnt get a break. perfect blend of long and short, old and new throughout the night. sadly no new material but i dont mind, still one of the best performances ive witnessed.

for what it is worth; there are 2 shows lined up advertised as "the last venue gigs in finland before the release of a new album. we have been working on new material". knowing their release schedule from before one can take this with a grain of salt, but atleast it is confirmed there is new moonsorrow slowly coming down the pipeline.

man, after for whom the bell tolls, soulless and non servian, a cover album would be epic as hell.

because the name of the track. When there are tracks with ¨ or with / last.fm going nuts. For example this is the name I have for that track: "Jumalten Kaupunki/Tuhatvuotinen Perintö". It can be also be Jumalten Kaupunki including Tuhatvuotinen Perintö".

You can edit song and album scrobbles, but only if you're a paid up member. It doesn't cost much, less than the price of a beer a month, depends how much it bothers you!

Tired of those ugro-samis imagined themselves as vikings. Finns are not vikings, they don't belong to Ar, initially. Pure Finns have their own culture and mythology. That's all you should know at last.

That's because you made another profile of yours for scrobbling non-metal music. If you are "everyone", you don't deserve to talk with any of us. Stay ignored in your ignorance.

That's because I saw your mom's cunt while you advertise your second last fm account or invite your friend to lick. You fucking rotten generation of metal white niggers. So sorry that all of you are protected by the law of our Liberal society. Pray upon the stub, you dirty urban "pagan" .

I've completely forgot about this band in the past decade when I basically stopped listening to any music whatsoever. It was such a nice feel to find it on Spotify, look at Viides Luku - Hävitetty album cover and be like "oh wait, I remember this", then put it on and actually remember entire both songs. Awesome band.

Music of Moonsorrow is like a northern nature itself: severe, chtonic, cold and perilous, but hauntingly and fatally beautiful.

Moonsorrow is the only band that can frequently make me sit through a 30-minute song and go "I wanna hear that again".

I listened to their albums «Tears from a Grieving Heart» and «The Incubus of Karma», not really my cup of tea. Considering funeral doom, I prefer bands like Shape of Despair and Skepticism.

The first folk metal band I've ever listened to and the only one I still love. The fact that their songs resemble to an endless, flowing river never gets old to me.

It's impossible to say, but since nobody asked me, here's my attempt at ordering albums from best to great: Verisäkeet > Vkkm > Hävitetty > Kivenkantaja > Tulimyrski > Voimasta ja kunniasta > Jumalten aika > Suden Uni. Honestly they shift around from month to month though. Thirteenth consecutive year of ranking them in my top five favourite bands... just so damn good.

Honestly, Moonsorrow are one of these few bands in my collection whose albums I don't dare to rank. They're all monumental to me and even though I prefer the "blacker era" (starting with the two greats "Verisäkeet" and "V: Hävitetty") to a certain extent, I seldomly listen to like only two or three albums, but inhale all of them in an undetermined order instead.

I've been listening moonsorrow over than 15 years and i can say honestly first albums and tulimyrsky were amazing. Last album a little bit darker. Even last album is in territory of melodic black metal. I wish they release next album on taste of sudden uni, tulimyrsky, verisakeet and finally voimasta ja kunniasta. They were fucking amazing

It saddens me that Moonsorrow got really slow at releasing new material in 2010s. In quality as well; for me, their tops were Verisakeet and Havitetty.
