I'm still trying to figure out what makes this song so offensive. The only answer I can come up with is "white people don't like it when a black person points out that black people invented rock music", but I'd like to think that people aren't that fucking petty. Right?

I think he misses the point that white people ignorance is that they only listen to black people music though white people music, they're biased towards race, sometimes even without knowing it, but the music of white people is still legit, it's the ignorance of people that is the problem. And I'm not into the Stones too much, I think [artist]Ten Years After[/artist] is way better. Or he is just parodying people with anti-white music ideology.

Does anybody else think of The Wizard of Oz when he goes, "Oh wee ohh wooooahh"?

And then Mos undermined his argument by yanking RHCP's "Under the Bridge" in Brooklyn.

Chuck Berry is Rock and Roll!! Mos started acting early on, but he was always dabbling in a few things. He was also on BET's version of Rap Around if people remember that. It was a youth driven discussion show that covered issues of AIDs, Rape, Parenthood, etc. That was when I first saw him and toured his book store. I remember saying, this dude sounds like his is slurring his speech, but he has an expansive vocabulary and depth that excuses it. Mighty Mos Def!! Hip-Hop's Renaissance Man
