I don't like the idea of having a "favorite" Motörhead album, they're all great, but if I had to make a short list this would probably be on it.

If this is their weakest album, Lemmy can rest easy. Really good songs here, don't get the bad rap it gets.

The only real crime of this album is being an almost 50 minute Motörhead album

Yes, I agree, a step down from "1916", but still a really good album. I found it very enjoyable.

It's to Motörhead's credit that something this good is frequently rated as being among their worst LPs. Several excellent tracks here, and it did mark Mikkey Dee's first recordings with the group (on the phenomenal "Hellraiser," I believe, is where he made his debut), which alone makes it worthwhile. The Ozzy-and-Lemmy duet "I Ain't No Nice Guy" is one of the stronger mellow Motörhead cuts too.

Hello guys, watch this video (http://youtu.be/P8Dgoq8KRrw) made by the brazilian band The Hammer (Motörhead cover) and like the page on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/thehammermh), they rock! Thank you and stay heavy! \m/

Lemmy: "Let's play something slower this time" Everyone else: "Why not?" Still great shit, but not the best.

Definitely one of their weakest efforts to me. A pretty sizable step down in quality from the fantastic "1916" a year earlier.

This is such a good album. The transition from Philthy to Mikkey is instantly noticeable too (in a fucking mind blowing steamhammering juggernought kind of way). Philthy was awesome but MIkkey really broght home Motorhead's unstopable power into the 21st century.

hey come on to be honest: this album is NOT their best work - and after the huge success and fantastic songs on "1916" this was a little bit disappointing. But as Lemmy NEVER did a weak album, this is also quite good, with some very good headbangin songs on it . it's always a pleasure to listen to!

It is not a Ozzy cover. It is a song that Lemmy wrote and Ozzy wanted to sing. Lemmy did not gave it to him but asked him to sing it on a Motörhead allbum.

lemmy wrote hellraiser with ozzy's band... but it's rather a song for ozzy, lem's voice has other qualities but he doesn't really get this one, so i prefer the other version although it is overproduced
