Biography

One man band Moth Effect creates trance-inducing instrumentals that will tickle the urges of crate digging lunatics. Yes, the key signatures of the best '70s Kosmische bands can be picked up, as can 'Quark, Strangeness & Charm'-era Hawkwind and newer adapters The Soundcarriers. But the artist is also inspired by '60s and '70s psych, garage-rock and soul, pre-punk and new wave, hip-hop and lots of contemporary electronic music. "Slow mo psych" is a term that the artist has used to describe his music, and it certainly fits. Moth Effect's 'Crocodilian', sounds like a Green Brain record composed by Mick Farren.
