Motortrain
High Octane – Red Dirt – Rock and Roll
Motortrain is more than a band… it’s a powerful machine. Ignited in late
2008 by former lead guitarist of the Phoenix-based band The Earps (Big
Bender Records), Motortrain is on track to take rock and roll back to the
forefront of the blue collar music scene.
After returning home to Oklahoma, Aaron “Ump” McCollum found a void of
traditional AC/DC style rock and roll amongst his alt-country and red dirt
peers. To fill that void he set out on a search for like-minded musicians.
Almost immediately, he found guitarist Chris Brower from the OKC punk rock
circuit, and Motortrain was born.
With songs like “Goin, Goin, Gone” and “Backyard Brawler” the pair knew that
they had captured the sound of truly country-themed, rowdy, anthemic rock
and roll. Rounding out the line-up is the right combination of thunder and
energy in metal drummer Levi Cook and bassist Michael Sigulinsky.
Motortrain’s self-titled release will be available summer of 2011 with a
national tour to follow.
