Biography

The name Murder Inc. is/was used by at least five different artists.

1. Murder Inc. was a short-lived industrial metal super group formed in 1991), with Killing Joke member and vocalist, Chris Connelly. The line-up was completed by Killing Joke members Geordie Walker, Paul Raven and Martin Atkins, former Killing Joke drummer “Big Paul” Ferguson and Killing Joke live keyboardist John Bechdel. Unsurprisingly, their musical style is similar to that of Killing Joke. Murder Inc. produced a eponymous album and an accompanying remix EP, Corpuscle, before disbanding. A compilation album, Locate Subvert Terminate , contains both of these releases and additional live recordings. Connelly, Atkins, and Walker later founded another industrial supergroup, The Damage Manual.

2. Murder Inc. is the name used for songs performed by any members of the Murder Inc. Family a.k.a. The Murderers from The Inc. Records. Murder Inc. started as a short-lived rap supergroup consisting of Jay-Z, Ja Rule and DMX. It later developed into a record label, run by Irving Lorenzo Gotti.

3. Murder Inc. was a very short-lived British punk band, known for just one single: 'Sounds So False' b/w 'Polythene Dream' and 'Nobody Cares' (1980). Personnel was: John Davidson (vocals), Gypo Evans (lead guitar), Kev Boyce (drums), Paul Greber (bass) and Stew Breed (rhythm).

4. Murder Inc. was a hardcore punk band from The Netherlands.

5. Murder Inc. was a raw thrash metal band from the Czech Republic, formed in 2011.
