I prefer this album over their others also. I love their other albums, but this one just hits home for me. As Zach216 said, it mixes everything just right... Its heavy, but melodic, great vocals, etc. Amazing album.

I wouldn't call it a nu metal album. I like this one and think they do a good job of having different sounding songs. Good atmosphere, piano/keys... strong production. Strong hooks, melody, heaviness. Just more refined than XX, some people will always hate when bands do that. Oh well, it's just a natural progression.
