Mykl (Jan Michel, also ThatMykl) is a vintage '87 electronic producer and artist with main emphasis on Psychedelic Trance.
As of 1996, music is, has been, and always will be his intense and only passion, and ever since, he explored the versatile world of electronic music production. Over the years he released two full-length albums, one being a collaborative work featuring a former friend. Both set in the Downtempo/Chillout Genre, his soothing sound received high praise and was featured in renowned magazines such as MyOwnMusic.
Starting 2010, he dove into the art of DJing, discovering a whole new way to creatively work with music.
After gathering experience through playing in online radios and podcasts, he made his live debut in 2013, playing at Psytrance parties and quickly gaining popularity within the psychedelic scene. After less than six months he already made his way to the core of the somewhat elitist community of artists and organisers. He was mesmerised by the mentality of this subculture and finally felt like he belonged.
Whilst alsways keeping a low profile, his name is well known amongst insiders. He prefers being kept off flyers, which often made him a pleasant surprise act. He does not really want the obligations that would come with the publicity and avoids bothering with the competitive way of the showbusiness as much as possible. As a result his gigs are rare, but all the more special.
