The album title translates as "Trollish Woods, Wraiths and Coalburning". It features eleven Folk-inspired Extreme Metal songs with a lyrical inspirational basis in old stories and tales from the municipality of Ringerike in Norway, where Lars grew up and still lives.
The liner-notes say that the lyrics are in the old Ringeriksdialect dialect of Norwegian.
