About Nanase..Nanase grew up seeing many Jazz musicians such as Yosuke Yamashita, Akira Sakata and Takeshi Shibuya because her parents loved music and created opportunities to meet musicians. Born in 1977, she started piano and music composition at Yamaha Music School at the age of 3. After attending the Department of Music Composition, Toho Gakuen Music High School, Nanase entered Toho Gakuen School of Music majoring in music composition. In 1999, Nanase dropped out of school and moved to Paris, France. While living in Paris, she provided music for the Vidal Sassoon and Honda premier hair show at the Oakley Court in the UK. In 2003, Nanase returned Japan after spending three and a half years in Paris. She then formed “ Project301” with DJ KAZ who played his music at dance events such as “Main Street,” “ Dance Entertainment Party WORLD WIDE,” and "Precious Hall" in Sapporo as a guest DJ and is held in high favor among dancers and clubbers on the Deep House scene. Their first 12-inch album titled “Tactics#1 / Affection” was released by Loop Sounds on December 9, 2005 quickly becoming a topic of conversation upon commencement of promotion efforts and establishing an astonishing sales record in Japan. Sharp tracks and the sweet piano are characteristic, with the subject being New Jazz. Nowadays Nanase is performing as a keyboardist with COSA NOSTRA, Kenzo Saeki’s band “Kenzo Saeki & Club Je t'Aime,” and Project301 at club and live houses in Tokyo. When working on music, Nanase is serious and insatiable. While mostly playing Latin house or jazz house style she fundamentally plays all types of music and is currently intent on mastering bluesy music.
