One of the most talented, lesser known, under appreciated groups of our time. I was fortunate enough to see them perform live at a special show on Halloween of 2003 at the ahead of it's time Club LaTazza in Philadelphia (now closed). The guys were tremendously tight players and full of energy. Joking with each other and the crowd and creating a really positive atmosphere. One of the best performances of the hundreds I've seen. It is just heartbreaking that these guys didn't stay together and achieve greater success. They were just so much more talented and innovative than many of their peers. The club organizers took tons of photos of the show. I'll try to put some up when I find them.

Just picked up a used copy of 7 Steps for $8 when perusing the used section at Digital Ferret/Isotank shop here in Philadelphia last week. I had this CD swiped from me years ago and never thought I'd find a copy again (seems to be a common occurrence with fans of NCC). I didn't realize how much I'd missed this CD until I slipped it in the player. It's been on nearly non-stop since! Joe at the shop tells me they get copies in pretty often from a storage place in Canada. Now just to find a copy of their demo tape with the tracks 'Landed' & 'Breathe' on it without shelling out $100...

In response to Mekano The reason this album is so trance-like is because the label wanted it that way. The original sound was much darker.
