Biography

Her smile and her laugh is contagious! Her temperament is an unending energy of exuberance. Her voice? Is soulful, like Sarah McLachlan, enchanting, like Joss Stone, and passionate, like Jenny Chisolm of Addison Road. Her music? Has been described as a unique blend of some of her favorite artists like Sara Bareilles, a touch of Coldplay, and a hint of Nora Jones.

Break through with Naomi Carroll, a Louisiana native, who does not shy away from challenge nor subject as her songs on her debut solo CD, “Becoming,”. Her story and music defies the stigmas of conventionality. From her personal life-long battle with weight and self-esteem issues to her diagnosis with depression in 2003, the hallmark of Naomi is an unfolding transformation and continual journey toward being free in Christ with her thinking. Pouring her heart and her life into each song, Naomi defines herself best through the music, such as with “Becoming,” as she sings “It’s not who I was, but who I am becoming”. She also shares other broken parts of her story with songs like, “Enjoy the Journey”, “All That Matters", "Real, “Scars”, “Be the Blessing”, and “Listen to Love” just to name a few.

Naomi’s spiritual journey began at age 9, and by the age of 11, she was writing and performing original songs. She has since become an accomplished songwriter and often collaborates with her husband, Marty. Along her musical pathway, she has shared the stage with artists such as Bill Gaither, The Martins, By The Tree, Judy Martin Hess, and Phillips, Craig, & Dean, among others. Over the past 5 years, Naomi has redefined her quest for music, home, and faith. Daily embracing the mountain of faith and wholeheartedly grasping the challenges that come her way. Her desire is to encourage others and assist them to relate to God to their lives for an unprecedented and eternal change.

Whether it’s leading worship at churches, speaking and singing for women’s conferences, or performing solo concerts, Naomi’s personality and her music is real, relevant, and hopeful. She has a gift in opening her heart and leading a crowd in seeking the Lord. She invites you to walk with her down the pathway of “Becoming” and encourages all to reach out beyond their own scars for healing.

Soulful, enchanting, passionate. Broken from the past, healed by God, hopeful for the future. We introduce the beautiful blessing that is Naomi Carroll.
