Biography

Nat Johnson is a British singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Sheffield, UK. She is the former leader of folk pop outfit Monkey Swallows the Universe (2003-2008) and Nat Johnson and the Figureheads (2008-2012). In her career to date, Johnson has written and released a series of acclaimed albums, played live radio sessions on 6music and Radio 4, performed at festivals including Green Man, Latitude and End of the Road and supported Low, Diane Cluck, Richard Hawley and Camera Obscura.

Live, Johnson is accompanied by multi-instrumentalists Katherine Jackson and Hannah Browne.

The single, "DOG", was released in May 2014 and received support from Gideon Coe, Steve Lamacq and Tom Ravenscroft on BBC 6Music, plus airplay from XFM and other UK stations. Album 'Neighbour of the Year' was released in late 2014.
