Always loved the song the best off this album. It's so full of sadness, but it's more nostalgic for the happy times, like the sad is just an afterthought. Anybody know if this is based on a personal experience of his or not?

Your all wrong, it's Hank Hill. Neil loves King of the Hill. He named his guitar Peggy Hill.

Neil owns Hank Williams' guitar, so it's pretty definite it's Hank Williams. Plus Hank Marvin to Hendrix wouldn't make much sense given that The Shadows only emerged a few years before Jimi.

My son alway makes fun of this lyric [we somehow have a tradition of listening to this CD when I help him study for math tests]. He would say, 'What the hell is a "musical ride"? Just sounds like a lame lyric.' So I decided to dig a bit and found out about the RCMP Musical Ride, coupled with the fact that Neil is Canadian, and figured I was on to something. I guess if those shows go on for quite a while, as LTJ suggests, then this lyric starts to make sense and takes on some depth. Thanks, LTJ.
