Biography
A French singer / songwriter born in 1983 in Paris from Martinican parents. Grew up listening to the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and greatly influenced by artists such as Minnie Riperton ,Roy Ayers, Ella Fitzgerald, Tina Turner and Anita Baker as well as Caribbean artist such as Experience 7 , Jean michel rotin to mention a few. As a result, Nell would describe her music as a blend of Soul,Neo Soul, R&B with a twist of Caribbean influences.
Nell have showcased / performed as a backing vocalist for upcoming artists such as Shydeeh, Salwa, Pamela C., Ife, Aaron Jwashington for several years in Paris and London venues.
She has collaborated thanks to French Caribbean label Kayneex on a number of projects featured with upcoming artists such as Haitian born singer JayB on the track”11septembre”(2003) , compilation HipHop Vibes 2004, HipHop-Zouk Artist Shydeeh”My thang” in 2005, Cabo Squad “Viens” released in portugual , France and CaboVerde in 2005,Criol Connection “Sans Toi” in 2005…
More recently, Had a song also feature for Mercedes Benz online compilation-Mixtape 23- entitled “Tourner La Page” in January 2009 .
