Biography
Nice Cliques is a Russian band from Saratov, consisting of:
Ivan Ilin - vocals, guitar, piano
Anton Solodkii - guitar, piano, backing vocals
Roman Makarov - bass, flute, backing vocals
Alexandr Kashev - drums, oboe
The band defines their genre as "indie-art rock" and states that some of the influences on their songs were such acts as Radiohead, King Crimson, The Beatles, R.E.M., Pink Floyd and many more artists from the 60s and 70s and 90s. Nice Cliques succeed in merging those influences and creating a sound poppy enough for the casual listener and yet reasonably sophisticated to interest the musical gurus.
In 2009 the band recorded their debut EP named "We Don't Even Like Them".
In August the members of the band plan to start recording a full-fledged album due winter 2010.
