This album is a bit overproduced. I mean, listen to Pink Moon. Don't you love that pure intimacy in the songs? Bryter Layter is nowhere near Pink Moon and Five Leaves Left.

I love this album but always heard Nick Drake disliked it because it felt "too-full" and took the focus away from the guitar playing. I love the album but can't say I disagree, sometimes I just wanna hear these songs pure acoustically lol

years ago when I first got into Nick, I only listened to Pink Moon and Five Leaves obsessively and really didn't like this album, thought it sounded like AM radio adult contemporary schlock. now I'm glad to say I was wrong and a complete fool. it's super nice having a "new" Nick Drake to be getting into.

Now it's "One of These Things First" that is missing. Really wish Last.fm would actually improve the functionality of this website instead of making these stupid, redundant updates. Ah well...

I defy anyone to give me a good reason as to why this album isn't fucking brilliant

Really enjoyed the Nick Drake songs on Mark Radcliffe's show last nite. Also good interview with Joe Boyd, talking about Nick and his music ...they played one of Molly Drake's songs too (Poor Mum).
