Pink Friday 2 is the title of the fifth studio album by Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj which was released on December 8, 2023. Pink Friday 2 is a direct sequel to Nicki's debut album, Pink Friday. This is her first studio album in five years since Queen. Nicki released a variety of singles between the Queen and Pink Friday 2 eras such as "MEGATRON", "Yikes", "Do We Have A Problem?", and "Bussin" to keep fans satisfied while she worked on the album; she also did nonstop features and remixes with other artists of course. This campaign was similar to one she did before the release of her 2014 album, The Pinkprint.
On August 12, 2022, Nicki released "Super Freaky Girl" as the official lead single from Pink Friday 2 and the song was a commercial success, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. On March 3, 2023, Nicki released another single called "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" which debuted at #13 on the Hot 100. Nicki confirmed Red Ruby Da Sleeze's inclusion on the album on Twitter and later stated that it was meant to serve as a promotional single for the album. Nicki confirmed the title of the album would be Pink Friday 2 on June 29, 2023, this was a long-time speculated title for NM5 by fans, but nothing was confirmed beforehand. On September 1, 2023, Nicki released the third single from the album, Last Time I Saw You. The song debuted at #23 on the Hot 100 and was performed by Nicki at the 2023 VMAs, which she hosted.
