Kollias is a good drummer but Laureano killed it when he played with Nile. Fast and fluid, and never outplaying the band.

This is my favorite album by Nile for sure, with Annihilation of the Wicked being my favorite from the Kollias era, after this. Kollias is a killer, fast technical drummer. But I love the work Laureano does on this album. Kind of makes me think of Gene Hoglan on meth.

The drum work on this album is splendid, even though it's not the mighty George Kollias behind the drum set.

This album is fucking unique. I've yet to hear an album with such an atmosphere. The drums sound like sandstorms, the guitars sound like the unforgiving burn of the sun, Karl Sander's vocals sound like the crocodile god embodied. Fuck

Agreed. This album breaks all necks in its audible vicinity via violent headbang. \m/

Still the most brutal sounding Nile album, as well as the most epic in scope. Therefore, it's Nile's best work.
