Biography
Having taken his first steps in music as the bass player for various hardcore outfits, Frédéric Garcia has now become one of the frontrunners of France’s heavy electronic scene. With tastes and influences ranging from dubstep to breakcore and from hip-hop to metal, he’s a relentless actor of France’s underground scene.
This amazingly openminded music lover delivers a taste of massive and melodic electronic music, a synthesis of all the genres that made his personality, from warp artists to today's dubstep bangers. While Niveau Zero might play strictly dubstep serato sets as a DJ, his live performances can't be reduced to a single genre; they may start with an ambient track and end in an explosion of electronic metal breaks.
Following his winning of the ‘best electronic newcomer’ award at the Printemps de Bourges festival in 2008, Niveau Zero had his first releases on the Paris-based label Destpub. He has since released two albums: In_Sect (2010) and Jasmine (2012), both on Ad Noiseam.
