I guess in hindsight i can't see it as them selling out, because as far as i can tell their appeal didn't stretch all that wider than it had done previously. They might have aimed as a group to be more middle of the road but in my opinion it didn't happen. Dead Man's Party is still just as quirky as their previous work. I think Oingo Boingo are an acquired taste, but god knows why! I've never understood why they're so underrated and unknown.

No one can say anything bad about Oingo Boingo. Their eccentricity opened the doors for all of these off the wall bands. They also had some freakin awesome music that is still great to listen to today. Reminds me of my youth when life was much simpler and more mysterious.
