Biography
Born in Munich, Germany, Oliver Rehbinder first started producing German new wave music in 1980 using vocals, electric instruments, analogue keyboards and Korg synthesizers. In the years since then, Rehbinder has played many roles in the music industry.
In 1985, he took up bass guitar (alongside his producer role) with a series of Jazz fusion / rock live bands and in the early 90's he provided technical seminars for vocalists. In 1995, he released the guidebook "1 Hz fuer Saenger" (1 Hz for singers) as a result of a 2-year technical series he wrote for German music magazine "Soundcheck" (together with co-author and singing teacher Gabi Braun).
Since 1996, Rehbinder has broken from tradition and focused his musical talent on exploring the realms of abstract and ambient sound - what he calls "Ambient concrète." Oliver Rehbinder has released 13 albums.
