I always ejoyed this album but how it grew on me on the last months is terrifying. Absolute masterpiece.

This is the best Opeth album, the atmosphere is incredible, sounds like it´s haunted or something

Disco marcante pra mim. Canções como Burden, Heir Apparent, Hessian Peel são obras maravilhosas.

Still Life is still my favorite album, but Hessian Peel has to be my absolute favorite Opeth song

Quite easily the most genuine, mature and cohesive Opeth release. Remote now is the "hold my drink while I'm dethroning Pink Floyd from the pedestal of progressive rock" wet childhood dream of Åkerfeldt, who finally embraces his inner goth drama queen with full Swedish romanticism and swagger. I just love it when bands know their place and they work real hard to achieve their purpose from within those limitations, it's dignified and of high quality.

I think this is their best album. I know most people prefer Blackwater Park or Still Life but I think this has the perfect mix of prog/death/folk with singing and growling - I think it also creates a better 'atmosphere' than Ghost Reveries overall. Just my opinion though :-)

Opeth Forever. I love all songs on this album, with Porcelain Heart being my least favorite. Still would give it 9.5 / 10 though !!

Watershed is a major transition of Opeth, and a long expected farewell to progressive death metal and gothic atmospheres for Akerfeldt’s musical vision, the musical influences are more far reaching than ever before, with some of the most brutal death metal in tracks like “Heir Apparent,” to bouncy folk sections in “Hessian Peal” and “The Lotus Eater.”

Rediscovered it after over 5 years of non-listening and first reaction was: OH GOD, HOW THE FUCK I COULD FORGET ABOUT THIS??? The best Opeth album along Blackwater Park and The Roundhouse Tapes (and maybe even better than aforementioned two). Every track has something to offer (some cool guitar solos courtesy of Fredrik Akesson), but my personal favourites are: Coil, The Lotus Eater, Burden and Hessian Peel. It's perfect connection between old Opeth (which I love) and new Opeth (steaming pile of turd IMO). If you don't know this buy or download it immediately.

i didnt like it so much for the first time i've heard it, but definitely this has become my favourite Opeth album. All songs are perfect, i really dont know how to order them from the best to the least best...probably: the lotus eater>>>hessian peel=burden=porcelain heart>coil=hex omega=heir apparent (?)

Well, I like it. But then I don't blow a gasket when a band I like incorporates new influences and sounds into their music. Plus I happen to like prog-rock a lot, so that helps.

This is Opeth on cruise control. Adds nothing interesting to their previous body of work.

Polarizing album. And by that I mean their objectively best album. Also good job on the track titles, last.fm.
