    • Mick Clarke

Little known early '70s UK acid rock band featuring singer Terry Clarke, the original co-founder of 60's group Jason Crest. Featuring great twin lead guitar work and some long deep tracks. Bluesy, and a bit like Leaf Hound in style and Sir Lord Baltimore but not as heavy. Very much like Led Zeppelin only a little heavier. They were engineered by Roy Thomas Baker (later super-producer of Queen and others). Lone self-titled release came out on Bell-Arista in 1971. The fact that it was orignally only released in Germany might have had to do with the little exposure. The group disbanded after a dispute with their management after recording. Apparently, the band's name wasn't their own choosing nor was the album art. In fact, the original tapes were stolen and the album was released without the band members knowledge. They unfortunately had no choice but to disband.

Song titles like "I Can See Inside Your Head","Chocolate Piano", and "Slipping Away" very much in line with the psychedelic early 70's. Many of the bands of this era in rock are a massive influence on the stoner rock revival bands in 90s-00s. In 2005 a re-issue in digipack was out on Buy-Or-Die Records.

Guitarist Mick Clarke and bassist Paul Roberts are still active today. Most of the music was composed by drummer Jeff Seopardie who went on to play with a number of sessions and even back Chuck Berry.

Fans of early 70's hard rock and today's stoner metal will really like this. It's hard to find, but well worth it.
