This is one of the only bands I know that seems to have a large fanbase among both the hardcore/post-hardcore fandom, as well as the nu metal fandom. This probably has to do with the crossover appeal, having a clear hardcore punk edge to them, but also the funky grooviness and rap metal styling and attitude that nu metal fans love. If you’re a fan of 90s rapcore like Downset, Biohazard, and Stuck Mojo, or obscure nu metal like Hed Pe, Primer 55, and Clawfinger, definitely check these guys out, you’ll probably like it. I’d recommend Tragic, which is probably their best album, but Driver Not Included is also really good (it’s more hardcore influenced but has a very nu metal-like attitude and vibe to me).

Rapcore as a genre basically means any fusion of hip-hop or rap, and hardcore punk. Orange 9mm has a hardcore punk background, and they incorporate rapping and hip-hop elements into their sound. They’re actually a better example of rapcore than say, Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park (who don’t have much hardcore influence, and would be more accurately labeled rap metal or rap rock). Of course, orange 9mm can also be considered rap metal as well.

first track I listen to "Glistening" immediately reminded me of sugar ray's "Lemonade and Brownies" album...

i forgot how fucking awesome these guys were. i was moving over the weekend and found my Driver Not Included CD in a box i hadn't opened in 4 years and thought, "oh damn, i haven't heard these guys in a while". i kinda just wanted to hear Failure tbh and mistakenly thought it was on this release (which it isn't, lol) but in any event... sounded just as good as it did 14 years ago when we listened to this in high school. right from the first track, you're like "damnnnnn." good shit.

Wow, I can't believe they only have 61,000 listens on last.fm. Regardless, a great band, I remember when I first got Tragic about 11 years ago.

Saw these guys a few times about 14 years ago with Clutch and Fumanchu. I owned Driver Not included and haven't even thought about it for 12 years, I think I am going to listen to that album again...if I can find a CD player that still works. Last.fm brings back a lot of memories and opens a lot of doors.

One of the best post-hardcore bands along with Quicksand and Shift. More people should appreciate.
