1) In a small town in the hinterland of southern Calabria, Three people fascinated by "dark" atmospheres in the new wave movement, decide to form a band . The reality and the place in Calabria are light years away from the normal standards of the musical scene of the big cities and their movements, but the need to express themselves burns inside of them. So, Domenico Cirillo (Bass), Giuseppe Dromì (Guitar), and Vincenzo Amato (Vocals), involve Francesco Misiti (Drums). In this project and towardsthe end of the 90's they form the "Other Voices". With a repertoire of classic dark music, the play throughout the various provinces in Calabria. At The Same time, they also start to create their very own songs. In 2004 they decide to work in the realization of their first album "Anatomy of a Pain". In 2005 the italian label In The Night Time release "Anatomy of a Pain" as cd. At the moment, the band is made up of Giuseppe Dromì (guitar); Domenico Cirillo (Bass); Vincenzo Amato (Vocals); Francesco Misiti (Drums) Giuseppe Piccolo (Guitar)
2) The Other Voices was a Soft-Psychedelic, Sunshine Pop Band from the USA. The Songwriter and Leader of the Trio was Paul Levinson. Their song hung up on love was released on Atlantic Records in 1968; this recording was included in Rhino Handmade's 2004 compilation CD "Come to the Sunshine: Soft Pop Nuggets from the WEA Vaults", compiled by Andrew Sandoval. Levinson sang falsetto harmony on many of The Other Voices' recordings.
He is now a writer and media commentator.
3) There is another band with such a name. Other voices (The Doors tribute) from Prague have been playing music of The Doors since 1999! Current line-up: Pavel Turza (keyboard), Christian Michael Dunkley-Clark (singer), Honza Juklík (guitar), Pavel Brož (drums).
