Biography
Hailing from Minnesota’s Twin Cities, Our Life Story is a group of five hardworking individuals with a DIY mindset. Within a year of being a band, Our Life Story released a 6-song demo CD and shortly after released the debut EP titled Shorelines on July 31, 2010. After opening for bands such as New Found Glory, Title Fight, A Loss For Words, Four Letter Lie and the Wonder Years, they gained a significant fan base in their hometown. Following this, these determined musicians toured the Midwest only to increase their exposure and gain an invaluable community of fans.
In May 2011, Our Life Story will be releasing their new EP titled 'I’d Rather Change Than Stay The Same.' Recorded in Chicago at Drasik Studios, this new EP showcases the bands development and passion behind the pop/punk scene. Based on the concept of dealing with the pressures of growing up and finding yourself, 'I’d Rather Change Than Stay The Same' reaches out to the community bands like Title Fight and Transit proved exists. With introspective lyrics and catchy hooks, the EP reveals and masters a feeling everyone goes through: struggle. Emotion, talent and intensity will continue to pour out of these five individuals as they showcase their new material to fans on a May 2011 tour. Our Life Story proves that location is no longer a factor in empowering community: music is the weapon.
