Our Plastic Dream was one of Pierre Tubb's bands from the swinging London of the mid-to-late 1960s. It came out of The Jeeps, as a result of wishing to keep up with the mood of the time. The band's line-up was Pierre Tubbs (lead guitar, vocals), Paul Bedwell (bass, vocals), Bob Moore (percussion, vocals) and Julian Ferrari (drums, vocals). The band released only one single, the 1967 gem "A Little Bit Of Shangri-La / Encapsulated Marigold", which, despite being played by John Peel, failed to chart. In 1968 Tubbs and Bedwell moved on to form The Owl.

From the late 1980s onwards, various Our Plastic Dream tracks started appearing on psychedelic compilations such as the Rubble anthology series. Previously unreleased gems were unearthed such as "Someone Turned The Light Out" and "Rubber Gun". This led to the 1999 release of the Pierre Tubbs compilation album "Pierre's Plastic Dream", providing an overview of Tubbs' various 1960s bands.
