This is one of his best songs in years... until the preachy verse at the end painfully spells out the whole religious moral in that way that Field Notes does, along with The Tornado even though it isn't religious. For years, fans have been talking about how Adam's faith based songs used to be nuanced and relatable to everyone because they were so metaphorical and well written, tracks like This Is The Future and Tidal Wave being perfect examples. Adam was on his way to something just as iconic here, until he had to get blatant at the end. That makes it sting so much more.
