Wow. It's the only song I've ever encountered where I loved it the first time I heard it, consistently listened to it for 3+ years, and am still impressed with it in that "Brand new song to love" way that I felt in 2007 initially. This is...hell, I'll say it for the first time right now. This is my favorite song.

This is the perfect example of a progressive crescendo. It begins softly, builds slowly to its hair raising climax, crafting new melodies with every turn. The sheer emotion that punches through with the final tangle of voices makes me shiver. This is one of my three favorite songs by this band and one that I will closely listen as the years pass.

Besides the emmotional impact it has, this song has one of the most genius structures I have hever heard!

The vocal and guitars (bass and drums too ofc.) are especially amazing in this song!

I don't think that this song will ever get old. I'm on over 50 scrobbles and I've heard it much more than that...sad that Dream Theater took the transition melody for "A Nightmare to Remember"'s soft section.
