Biography
The Pilots are a band from Paris, France (actually not from Paris itself but not far away, near Versailles). Basically, they play melodic rock songs with chunks of emotionally charged pop!
All started a long time ago when John met Max at a party. John had been writing songs since he was a teenager and was looking for someone who could help him record and arrange them. Max was the right person. They started rehearsing songs in Max's garage/studio and finally ended up having a solid repertoire of acoustic pop-folk-rock-emo songs. At that time, John was also playing in a pop-punk band which was taking up much of his time. When the band split up, he joined Max on a permanent basis. They had the opportunity to play a few concerts in Paris, playing as an acoustic duo, Max on the bass and John on vocals and guitar. Though this formula worked pretty well, they gradually decided that it would be nice to start a "real" (electric) band, and the need to find a drummer grew more important every day.
They finally met Yves… and Paper Plane Pilots was born!
