Lovely. This is primeval, tribalistic and mesmeric. A superb concoction of sounds to make a magical, haunting, atmospheric composition that is as old as the hills and as modern as the latest twitter. Light the fuse that refuses to die and retire to a safe place to listen to this musical fireworks show. Woweeeee!Pat can make music out of anything.....marvellous.Even a strangulation it seems. He found it, you better believe it. This sounds to me like the Carl Orff of African Jazz. Fantastic ghoulish choral cries of help. You found it here, folks. Eerie whistle blower, a full string orchestra as a film theme and then a magnificent helter skelter electric straight ahead rythmic chant from jazz roots with finally Pat playing his lyrical best with great space, harmony and happiness.

I love female vocals on this .. the playing, the melody just fit together. An 'eargasm' indeed!

Scratch that; I very, very much like the whole song. But, I only can't stand listening to one aspect/segment of this song -- that is the repeating, highest pitch sustained vocals. They grate on my ears too much. Someone I know thinks it's beautiful, though, for whatever reason.

This song has so many different elements in it, and yet somehow Pat Metheny manages to bring these together so they fit. An example of his absolute brillance.

Yeah, great track. I'd like to find additional music by the choral group on this track.
