He was a unique talent no doubt. Son of David Kossoff the famous UK Actor. Saw Free at the Royal Albert around 1970. Geesh! I'z old - lol!

I had the pleasure of seeing Free in Liverpool and Manchester in the early days. Kossoff had the crowd on the edge of the seats. gdcman...I respect your likes and dislikes.

@GDC It's not really about technical difficult so much as the vibrato and feeling. I'm sorry but none of those guys are anywhere close to getting as much feeling out of the guitar as Koss. I have probably listened to everything Koss that has been released. There were a few guitar bits that were harder than another. However, on everything he played it came with feeling.

You people are all on some wild LSD if you think this is anywhere close to Vai, Yngwie, EC, Buckethead or Eddie. Pick up a freakin' axe and see what is more difficult to play. Paul Gilbert loves Kossoff, but could play his stuff note for note by 13 years old. Joe Bonnamassa? Orianthi smokes him. His work with Hughes is well below the other axe players Glenn plays with.

I was listening to some Buckethead earlier today and then this track came on. I'm afraid that Mr.Buckethead is now heading for the bucket.

The guy's tortured soul lain bare in music...agonising but incredibly beautiful. Could've been better than Page, Clapton etc...one of music's great losses but cherish what we have, friends...EMOTION
