Biography

Pavel Arakelian, was born in 1985 in Baku,in 1988 he moved to Minsk, where he finished musical school(piano classes),and the Jazz Department of Musical College(saxophone classes).
In 2006 by the "Jazz Sound Club Audience Voting" The Best Jazzman and the best Tenor-Saxophonist of the year.

Pavel was a leader of "Stop-Time" jazz band,hard-bop group which included many noticeable musicians and the
Honoured Artist of Belarus-Valeriy Sheritsa on trumpet.

Participation:
The first Republican festival of saxophonists "Saxomania" (Minsk)-2003;
International festival "Ochakovo Blues" (Moscow) -2003;
Republican festival "The giants of Belarussian Jazz" (Minsk)-2006;
International festival "JAZZ Koktebel" (Koktebel) -2006;
International festival "Zaporozhskiy JAM" (Zaporozh'e) -2006;
International festival "Jazz on Dnepr" (Dnepropetrovsk) -2006;
Republican festival of saxophonists "Saxophone-The King of Jazz" (Minsk)-2006.

As a session musician he performed with many guest jazz-stars like Sergey Manukyan,Lev Kushnir and Karina Kozhevnikova, Deborah Brown and Mike del Ferro.

Pavel played with most noticeable belarussian goups like
"Svet Boogie Band","Apple Tea".

At present he gathered the two projects,the first band is called
"Speakeasy" which working in such styles like Punk-Jazz and Hard-Bop.
The second project is called "The Outsiders".This group performing the original music composed by Pavel which contains many styles like avantgarde,free jazz,etnic,experimental,hard bop.
