Very pleased to see this is the 5th shout for her this year. Not bad for an artist who made her first recordings in the 1940s. Been listening to her since i was like 10 or so (30+ years) only to discover recently some of those old clips on youtube. She looks beautiful and very friendly.

It was on this day May 20, 1920 that Peggy was born. Such great music she did over the years!

Peggy Lee has been one of my favorites since I was very young. It's hard to pick a favorite song. Let's see.....I'll go with "It's A Good Day". Her first Hit song reached #4 in 1945 on Capitol Records. "Waitin' For The Train To Come In". The flip side of the 45 single was well recieved too. "I'm Glad I Waited For You" from the movie " Tars & Spars.
