Biography
Peyman Salimi is an Iranian pop-rock singer and songwriter based in Florence ,Italy. His debut album “The Curtain ” was released in February 2008. He wrote the album during a self-imposed exile to Italy (as described by himself), the country he has always been attracted to. His first single “Ten Thousand Miles Away” received so many positive reviews on the web. The album's sound is heavily influenced by Country/Americana music.
In 2010 he founded the alternative band “The Allophones” with which he mostly plays his indie-rock-oriented songs . In 2011 The Allophones won the first prize of Trumors , one of the most important contests aimed at emerging bands in Italy.
