This album is the soundtrack of the 1999 animated Disney movie, Tarzan.
The songs were composed by Phil Collins and the instrumental score of Mark Mancina.
The film Won the Academy Award to the Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award to the Best Original Song for the song "In my heart you will live" ; In addition to receiving a Grammy Award nomination to the Best Written Song for a Film, Television or Other Visual Media.

Tarzan was the first film to have a Disney soundtrack recorded in several languages for different markets. being that Collins himself recorded versions in English, Italian, German, Spanish and French; being assisted by the composer Éric Serra to record and produce the French version of the songs.
For his contribution to this soundtrack, Phil Collins received a American Music Award for Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist.
