The version he did with the big band was incredible, especially when they debuted at the Montreux Jazz Festival and David Sanborn played the sax.

Once again, One of Phil's Collins most known, Legendary hits that he had ever made in his career and in the history of music. He entered his solo carreer in the best way possible with this hit, and still to this day, it has it's effects, and goes well. This has to be the crown to Phil's work and tracks, a masterpiece, and you literally can't be a Phil Collins Fan, or a Rock N Roll fan, without knowing or liking this hit. The lyrics, and instrumental plus emotion in this track can't be matched, heard and used around the world in movies, games, shows and dominating the radio. All the best Phil, A True One of a kind. Legendary!

If you don't air drum during the drum fill/breakdown, are you even really alive?

Seriously, I'm always just looking forward to the beginning of the second verse: "...... well I REMEMBER" - this is the true stand-out moment of this song for me.

Honestly, what an inspiration you are with your talent and music. From carrying my childhood with your music, and soundtracks, too carrying me throughout the year and years, thank you for everything, and may the New year truly be a bigger year for us all. Thanks the legendary Phil Collins. 👑

Funny how the whole song seems to be anticipating that one moment, as the lyrics suggest all the while and then when it happens it's like the greatest musical release of tension ever recorded.

Am I the only one who thinks the best part of the song is the line "Well, if you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand"?

A pox on Josh Ballico for conjuring up images of a deer trampling on a slide to this song. Giggling never hurt so much.
