I loved this album the day it came out and it still goes absurdly hard. Has so many "rewind" moments, the drums, the guitar tone, the overall heavyness. Really captured lightning in a bottle on this one. I love Terryfier as well, but I go back to this one way more over the years

Out of all their works I keep coming back to this one the most, I know it's probably not considered by most as being their best or as good as their earlier grind releases but this just has a lot of substance to it I think.

This album defies all logic by having breakdowns that actually sound good. [2]

The Phantom Limb of which this album speaks are the horns that grow out of your head to help you obtain maximum head banging velocity for all these insane riffs. Srsly.

the only let down on this album is the untitled track at the end, i thought it was building up to a Natasha type sludge/doom song. but yeah epic album

Second behind Terryfier for me... Discovered them l but they have been on repeat on my MP3 player...I don't give a damn about the groovy feel.... It's somehow refreshing to see a little change in their sound direction....

what that stuff makes it awesome and its not really like Ion Dissonance. Its more like mixing elements of classic heavy metal melody into grind core, rather than diverging into some dissonant compound time signature math thing. I lolled when I found out pitchfork did a review of this album; they gave it a good score and had some sensible things to say, but I don't think the reviewer fully understood the breadth and depth of grind - either that or they just made some assumptions to simplify the review.

its still pig destroyer, but all the stupid breakdowns and groove shit gets on my nerves, if i wanted all that staccato jazz horseshit id listen to ion dissonance. wheres the double bass? whats with the toned down vocals? this one just doesnt do it for me
