I'm actually in disbelief that normal mortal humans made this album. There's nary a single time i've listened to this album start to finish and didn't have a pseudo-manic episode full of high energy and great mood by the time it was over. Every time I listen to this album I want to punch somebody in the best way possible. This album changed my life.

I gave it another shot. Ghost of a Bullet and Tickets to the Car Crash are good. The rest is still too draggy and repetitive.

Pig Destroyer at their best. The greatest thing here is the fact that they are a grind band, but their influences are varied - album has a lot of memorable melodies and riffs, and it doesn't sound like a rejecting 30 minutes of blast beats and screams. Scott's, as I said before, riffs are really great. Brian's drumming is on point - blasts are dynamic, but he also does a great job in slower parts. JR's lyrics are dark, and ugly in the good way. His vocals are insane, almost desperate. Jennifer can be, pretty much, considered as iconic. The first half of Prowler In The Yard is a straight up grind, diversified by outstanding guitar work. When Hyperviolet kicks in - there goes the second, expanded part. That song is showcase of Brian's skills. It also starts a shattering trip, from Hyperviolet to Piss Angel. Starbelly is IMO the highlight of this album. A slower, devastating song where JR is really shining. A grindcore album with a bitter soul. This is beautiful. This is art. Masterpiece.
