I remember freshman year of high school my history teacher was HUGE fan of this album. He had this large framed plaque of the gay triangle in his room. I listened to it and didn't really see the appeal to it, thought it was super overrated. 3 years later and now I think this is one of the greatest albums of all time if not the greatest. Breathe, Time, and Us and Them alone deserve to be right next to the Mona Lisa in the Louvre. Sometimes I wish I could go back and tell him how right he was about The Dark Side of the Moon.

Dave Mustaine, for having to go all the way east get kicked out of Metallica and taking a bus back to California. By comparison Rog and the boys just left Syd at home.

Fucking hell, you've got a damn good point there, and it's a bit of a mindfuck how those Floyd bastards managed to turn those trippy jams into such a masterpiece. It's like they took all that experimental shit and funneled it right into our skulls with a glittery production that just doesn't quit. But you know, it’s the mundane crap that Waters scribbles about that just fucking hits home, doesn’t it? It's all so damn relatable, wrapped up in those sleepy, druggy soundscapes. It's like they're painting with sound, man, and each stroke is a slap across the face with how much it makes you feel. But let's not circle jerk too hard around this album, right? I mean, it's goddamn brilliant, but what about the other Floyd albums that get your blood pumping? What's your take on that shit, like "Wish You Were Here" or "Animals"? Do they get under your skin the same way, or is "Dark Side" the motherfucking peak for you?

This album should be a right of passage for all music fans. Timeless brilliance, there were no digital editors or mixing tracks on a PC back then. Manually cutting tape to create samples and effects... just makes you appreciate this work of art so much more.

Poah, verstehe nicht, wie sich das Album über 14 Jahre in den Top200 der US-Album-Charts halten konnte? Egal, in 50 Jahren starte ich noch mal einen Versuch.
