This, Sorrow, and Learning To Fly are GREAT songs that save this album from being complete throwaway shit

Imo the live version from Delicate Sound of Thunder is better than in studio. David Gilmour is a legend!

For me, this song is scripture. Moore & Gilmour are right at home with much of the prophetic message found in the Tanakh on social justice. Go look at at Amos 5:15, Deuteronomy 15"7-11, Isaiah 1:17, Micah 6:8 (my favorite biblical passage), Leviticus 19:15, Ezekiel 16:49-50, and many others. We have forgotten or ignore these messages - I'm glad we have songs like this to help us remember. And a killer guitar solo to boot :)

Take heed of the words. "Don't accept that what's happening is just a case of all the suffering.....It's not enough just to stand and stare". Most of the suffering in the world is caused by man. Therefore it's up to us to do something about it. Go and stand up for what is right. Help people worse off than yourself. Fight corrupt governments and corporations!!! Become an activist!

Wow. Another track I'd forgotten about. The rest of the album isn't fantastic, but I do love this song.

I don't really dig Momentary Lapse of Reason too much, but God, this song is fabulous. One of the best songs that Gilmour's ever written. So epic and moving.
