Recordings is a compilation album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in May, 2001. It is a collection of b-sides from the albums Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun along with one new song, "Access Denied". Recordings is a limited pressing release, limited to only 20,000 copies worldwide. The first pressing was a limited edition and was out of print shortly after its release, but the album was re-issued in late 2010, and is now a permanent resident among the band's discography.

The origins for the track listing are as follows:

* "Buying New Soul" was originally released on the second disc of the special-edition of Lightbulb Sun, in an abridged (6:09) version.
* "Access Denied" was previously unreleased. Demoed during Lightbulb Sun writing sessions.
* "Cure for Optimism" and "Untitled" were originally released on the "Shesmovedon" CD single.
* "Disappear" was originally released on the "Four Chords That Made a Million" CD single.
* "Ambulance Chasing" was originally released on the "Piano Lessons" CD single.
* "In Formaldehyde" is a previously unreleased "clean ending" version. A version ending with a fade-out was originally released on the "Four Chords That Made a Million" CD single.
* "Even Less (Full Version)" is a previously unreleased full version. Part one was released on the Stupid Dream album; part two was released on the "Stranger by the Minute" CD single.
* "Oceans Have No Memory" is a previously unreleased band version. The demo version was released on the "Piano Lessons" 7" single.
