"It Could Be Sweet" is the fourth song from Portisheads debut album "Dummy". The song was originally considered as a single but ended up becoming one of the more deep cuts on the album.
This was the first song that the band finished for the album. This song was written by front woman Beth Gibbons before the formation of Portishead and after the band formed they were so amazed by Beth’s singing on her demo version that they had to remake it and include it on the album.
