I'm getting some great Lullabies to Paralyze vibes on this one and I love it. Chorus is absolutely killer - can't wait for this album

What's with the sound quality of recent QOTSA albums getting worse with each release? Like Clockwork was pretty good, Villains a little lo-fi for my taste, but this new track is straight up basement demo quality. Especially the drums are nonexistent.

I don't like the mixing, his words are barely discernible. The theme is heavy as well </3 The energy makes me look forward to the album. Hopefully I'll get to see them live this time around.

lead singles are usually pretty safe so bands and record labels can advertise albums to a wider audience. the lead singles for qotsa's last albums were also pretty safe. if anything, this probably means the rest of the album will kick more ass
