…a volatile duo from Denton, TX with a multi-disciplinary sound that spans across a vast musical spectrum. From roots music to abstract progressive rock to soul to ambient soundscapes, you become contently spellbound with a colorful musical aftertaste by a sound much greater than the sum of its parts (live shows: vocals, guitar, and drums). Ryan and Grady intermittently played in bands together for seven years before developing this project. Birthed in 2005, RTB2 has released two EPs and a full-length, and they have toured Texas and the Midwest. Their current release, In the Fleshed (EP), is an ecletic piece of experimental folk rock. It was recorded at home and mixed by Justin Collins in Denton, TX and also appropriately captures the sound expected from RTB2's live set.

"This is my observation and is therefore subjective.
You would do well to dispell any notions you may have about two piece groups. They arent like The White Stripes, The Black Keys, The Raveonettes or whatever you might be thinking of. Not to say that they are the guys who dispell the conventional wisdom in "nothing new under the sun". This ain't that. However, anything that claims to be is a farce and lie at the core. If you bought it, you are the sucker that keeps the gears greased. Good for you. Now, having got all that out of the way… what you got here is a smattering of a lot of good things. You got vocals that are reminiscent of Jeff Buckly, though I am sure that Ryan would balk at the comparison. The music owes more than a passing nod to Stax style Memphis R and B at times, Hendrix at others, and maybe too cool for school noise a la The Pixies or Dinosaur Jr at others. You have got to go to know. Soul nourishing…."
