“Like Spinning Plates” appears on Radiohead’s 2001 album, “Amnesiac” as an electronic / distorted track with no discernible piano. That said, during live performances, the song would frequently feature a piano accompaniment, most notably in 2003’s Live on Musique Plus Montreal performance.

The “Why Us?” version features Thom’s piano front and center, while also showcasing a new set of lyrics not in the original version. The original version’s lyrics begin with the verse, “While you make pretty speeches, I’m being cut to shreds.”. The “Why Us?” version features a new first verse and an additional chorus, beginning with the ominous and foreboding line, “Why us? Why not someone else? Why us?”
