a haunting song with a crying violin and set of strings weaving in and out of Dio's plaintive vocals and Blackmore's chord progressions, end of side B of the Long Live Rock and Roll record. Probably the softest of all Rainbow songs, yet ethereal, emotional; it does not matter in the least if the listener does not know english, the music will transport one away. And if one tunes into the words…a hindsight is 20:20 song about looking back at precious events in the past…
"She's been gone since yesterday..ohh i didn't care.. never cared for yesterday… … but i've lost my way.."
a true gem that still thrills, 35 years after it first came out…
