Ratata was a Swedish synth pop ground formed by Mauro Scocco, Heinz Liljedahl, Anders Skog and Johan Kling in 1980. Their first single, "För varje dag" were released in 1981 and followed by a self-titled album in 1982. The following second album "Jackie" spawned a massive hit single with the same name.

In 1983 Mauro Scocco were the only remaining member but was later joined by Johan Ekelund. The pair recorded five albums together during the 1980's and Ratata became one of the best selling and acclaimed groups in Sweden. Scocco and Ekelund broke up in 1989 with the album "Människor under molnen".

In 2002 Ratata released a new single called "Honung" to coincide with the release of the their career spanning compilation album "Kollektion".
